Daniel Kopp

Austria
Born: 1984
Zespół: Alpinism

Daniel is your typical Zillertaler scallywag and adventurer. He and his easygoing ways can bring a smile to anyone‘s face. This carpenter by trade clearly has a sense of humour and good nerves. That‘s why he doesn’t even buckle on his harness on routes such as „Reise nack Ixtlan“ (8a) (Journey to Ixtlan), and on his first expedition to Alaska he climbed through 2,000 metres in a storm, just because he couldn‘t be bothered waiting in the tent. Since 2000 the Tyrolean is most at home when on the vertical. To this day he can manage to climb several 8b+/8b rated routes redpoint in his beloved Zillertal, and he is also quite at ease flash climbing or free solo climbing French grade 8 routes. To mention in passing, Daniel is one of the youngest mountain and ski guides in Austria. Since 2008 he has been a training supervisor with the South Tyrolean Professional Ski Instructors‘ Association, and starting from January he will be a member of the international SALEWA alpinXtrem team. Welcome on board, Daniel.
