SALEWA SOFTSHELL garments are designed to keep the body warm, dry, and comfortable; a combination of DWR treatment on the outside and a windproof membrane makes these materials stand up to both water and wind.

SALEWA Softshell is extremely stretchable and its soft inner lining of microfleece guarantees high comfort in wear. Unlike a rainjacket, the material is comfortable to wear next to the skin, and does not rustle like other exterior textiles. The breathability and abrasion resistance is many times greater. Thanks to a combination of thick fabric and a durable water repellant coating (DWR) the textile is highly water resistant. SALEWA softshell products can replace the functions of two items of wear: a fleece and a waterproof rainjacket. Therefore it has a wide range of possible uses.


SALEWA Silvershell

This is the lightest of the Softshell fabrics because it does not contain a membrane, but its DWR coating is water repellent and highly breathable. The very tight weave makes it windproof. A special fi ber containing silver ions, with superior thermal characteristics, makes it particularly well-suited to aerobic sports, since it prevents the growth of bacteria and the formation of unpleasant odors; its antibacterial properties remain active for the product’s entire life span, even after washing.
