SALEWA developed this top functional material in conjunction with a world-leading textiles manufacturer. Polarlite® fabric is composed of extremely thin fibres (10,000 metres of fibre weighs less than 1 gram). It is an extremely light fabric, comfortably soft to wear next to the skin, and offers exceptional heat insulation. Textiles made from Polarlite® can be folded to a small volume. It thus has ideal properties for use in mountain sports.
